The launching ceremony of the 2019 National Preschool Education Publicity Month

        On May 19, 2019, the launching ceremony of the eighth National Preschool Education Publicity Month was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu. The theme of this publicity month was "Scientifically Prepare for Admission". Vice Minister of Education Zheng Fuzhi, UNICEF Representative Office in China, Ministry of Education Department of Basic Education, the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, the Wuxi Municipal People's Government and the Education Bureau and other relevant leaders attended. The launching ceremony was presided over by Jiang Jin, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education. Vice Minister of Education Zheng Fuzhi, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education Ge Daokai, Deputy Representative of UNICEF China Representative Office Ma Jie, and Mayor of Wuxi City Huang Qin came to the stage to "irrigate young saplings" and announced the 2019 National Preschool Education Publicity Month officially launched. Vice Minister of Education Zheng Fuzhi delivered a speech. He pointed out that in recent years, the State Council of the CPC Central Committee have attached great importance to preschool education, formulated various policies to guide the direction of action in education practice, focused on the simultaneous development of scale and quality, and emphasized the important role of a good start in the future. Three requirements are put forward for preschool education Publicity Month of this year: First, adhere to the scientific orientation, use the educational research mechanism and various resources to promote the coordination and cooperation of the whole society. Second, kindergartens and elementary schools should be connected in both directions, each fulfilling its responsibilities and cooperating with each other. The third is to ensure that the propaganda work has content, depth, influence, and effectiveness. After the launching ceremony, Minister Zheng and his entourage also visited the on-site publicity activities: thematic culture salon, expert consultation, educational research topic on transition from preschool to primary school , expert micro-lectures, parent-child reading guidance, large-scale wall-newspaper exhibition and children's art on-site experience. More than 500 people, including teachers and students from many universities inside and outside the province, primary school teachers, parent representatives and many media witnessed the event together.
